Many people are confused when trying to describe their symptoms of depression and anxiety. The reason for the confusion is how similar the symptoms are between depression and anxiety. However, although similar in symptoms, depression and anxiety disorders are not the same. The symptoms that are similar are caused by Neurotransmitters in your brain.

 

Neurotransmitters cause symptoms of depression, emotions of hopelessness, despair and anger.  Your mind tries to figure out what is wrong and oftentimes you will find yourself feeling more confused and out of sync. It can be difficult to break free from a pattern of negative self-talk, isolation and confusion. I can help free you of these feelings and help you move toward a life that you feel is meaningful and connected. 


I don’t use a one size fits all approach to treating anxiety and depression. I take special care to provide the right treatment for each individual. I provide you with the appropriate tools that will help you cope with the feelings you’re experiencing, identify what’s meaningful and important to you in order to regain enthusiasm for life.

There are several counseling strategies and skills that help treat depression and anxiety. Below are some of counseling strategies I use to treat anxiety and depression:

  • Problem-solving techniques to manage your symptoms
